The
students are our first responsibility. When students come through the
lunch line, they should receive the personal attention of each food
service person. Lunch time j5 a relaxing time for., students
And we should try to make it a pleasant
experience for them. Every effort should be made to prepare and.
serve the lunch in an attractive manner. We should respect students as
people for they are our best customers.

TO
THE PRINCIPALS TEACHERS AND STAFF IN YOUR SCHOOL
Even
though we are Food Service employees hired by the School Board and
responsible to the Food Service Director, the principal is in charge at
each school building and deserves your cooperation. The staff in each
school, including principals, teachers, aides, cooks and custodians,
should be an entity working together to give the students a school where
everyone cooperates.

TO
THE ADMINISTRATION
Be
present at your job each day doing the best you, as an individual, can do.
Prepare and serve the menu planned by the Food Service Director, without
making unnecessary changes or substitutions.
To the students coming
through the lunch line and to adults you talk to you are a representative
of the school district. Be aware of district policy. As a district
employee it is your responsibility to know and support the district’s
policies when answering questions.

TO
YOURSELF
As
a Food Service employee be proud of yourself and present yourself as a
friendly, cooperative person. Be eager to learn all aspects of the
‘lunch program. Always be willing to help others. Accept any
responsibility given to you. Take advantage of the various classes offered
to broaden your knowledge of the school lunch program. You will have the
opportunity to exchange ideas with cooks from other schools and grow
professionally.

EVERYONE
It
is your responsibility and food service requirement to fully understand
and meet federal and state guidelines.
